Change for Climate is a climate change initiative from the City of Edmonton.
On October 21st, we concluded another successful year of Building Energy Benchmarking with the release of the third Building Energy Benchmarking Annual Report (PDF), a new Building Energy Digital Dashboard (new),
and a virtual Awards and Recognition Event for Year 3 participants. Over 275 local and City of Edmonton buildings participated in the third year of the program to report, benchmark and disclose their energy use.
The Building Energy Benchmarking Awards recognizes the most energy efficient buildings in different building categories and acknowledges buildings with improved or sustained energy performance. Edmonton’s energy benchmarking program aims to highlight leadership not only in energy efficiency but also, in understanding that the first step to decrease energy use is to create awareness.
