Change for Climate is a climate change initiative from the City of Edmonton.
BOMA BEST is Canada’s largest environmental assessment and certification program for existing buildings. BOMA BEST certification recognizes excellence in energy and environmental management and performance.
The City of Edmonton has been participating in the BOMA BEST program since 2019 and continues to add additional BOMA BEST certified buildings each year. As part of BOMA BEST participation, 20 percent of the City’s BOMA BEST certified buildings are selected annually for verification by a 3rd party consultant to confirm and validate the certification level of these buildings. In 2022, Century Place, EPL Strathcona, Davies Fleet Services, and Centennial Transit Garage all received a BOMA BEST Silver award for excellence in energy and environmental performance.
