Now more than ever it is important to support local and shop mindfully. The Makers Keep is a home-grown business that provides local businesses with a place to display and sell their products, while providing Edmontonians with a safe, market-like experience to make their purchases.
When you purchase a locally-made product you can feel proud knowing you’ve done something good for the environment, and to support local business.

Looking for more ideas? Check out local blogger Linda Hoang’s post on #AdoptAShopYEG. While the campaign might be over, it has a great list of local shops that would still appreciate your support. Shop local and support small businesses in your community!
Want to avoid going into stores? Many local businesses, including some farmers’ markets, offer online shopping and/or curbside pickup, or gift cards you can purchase online and email to the recipient. You can also check out online stores that offer goods from other local businesses, like Local Shops or Good Goods.
Are you a small business? Check out this free #ShopLocalYEG toolkit to help you attract customers this holiday season while building customer and client confidence in shopping safety.
